Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. The professor is also director of the Center for Public Policy Research. It is widely believed that she was the one who initiating the contemporary science-based study of children's witness memory as well as child victims as witnesses in court contexts. Professor Goodman, who has numerous papers and grants, is also the recipient of a variety of international and national distinctions. She works with a variety of countries and agencies around the world on policies as well as the study of children's victimization within the court system. She is also a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a fellow of several professional organizations, such as The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychological Psychology of Traumatic Stress and Women 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division as well as three divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
